Celebs react in shock to Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s tragic demise
The sudden demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has left the nation stunned, with members of the film fraternity also expressing deep shock and grief over the tragic news. The senior political leader passed away on January 28, 2026, following a fatal plane crash near Baramati in Pune district, sending shockwaves across political and social circles.
Actor Kangana Ranaut was visibly shaken when the news broke while she was interacting with the media in Delhi. Caught off guard by the tragic development, Kangana was unable to offer a detailed statement and requested the media to give her time to process the loss. Her immediate reaction, however, reflected the gravity of the moment as she said, “This is such horrible news...There are not enough words to express...”
Several other celebrities took to social media platform X to mourn the loss and share condolences with Ajit Pawar’s family and supporters.
Ajit Pawar, a prominent Nationalist Congress Party leader often referred to as “Ajit Dada,” was 66 at the time of his death. He was travelling from Mumbai in a chartered Learjet 45 when the aircraft reportedly encountered technical difficulties and low visibility while attempting an emergency landing at Baramati airport. The crash claimed the lives of all five people on board, with no survivors.
