3 Years of Simmba: Ranveer Singh praises his co-star- “Kismat ho toh Sara Ali Khan jaisi”

It has been three years since filmmaker Rohit Shetty introduced the second cop- Simmba- from his cop universe. Starring Ranveer Singh as Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao, the film was a massive hit at the box office just like Shetty’s previous cop films - Singham and Singham 2. Sara Ali Khan was cast opposite Ranveer Singh in the film and it marked her second feature film.

Sara Ali Khan is one of the rare actors who had her first two films to release in the same month. She made her acting debut with the film Kedarnath directed by Abhishek Kapoor and co-starring late Sushant Singh Rajput. During an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer Singh while praising Sara said, “She is her own lucky charm. Kya kismat lekar aayi hai (what destiny she has arrived with). She has two releases in a month- Kedarnath and Simmba- class and mass. Even before the release of Kedarnath she appeared on Koffee With Karan with her father Saif Ali Khan. She has won everyone's hearts. Kismat ho toh Sara Ali Khan jaisi (Destiny should be like Sara Ali Khan’s).”

 

 

Sara Ali Khan was last seen in the film Atrangi Re which was released recently on Disney+Hotstar. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film also starred Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. As for Ranveer Singh, he was last seen in the film 83 which was released in theatres on December 24.
