Both CHENNAI EXPRESS, which opened last week and ONCE UPON AY TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA! reaped the benefits of a national holiday on Thursday, 15 August. CHENNAI EXPRESS has been on a dream run ever since it opened and the business on 15 August gave further impetus to the film, which has set new benchmarks in its opening week. On the other hand, ONCE UPON AY TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA! suffered due to a limited release on 15 August, since CHENNAI EXPRESS continued to dominate the screens and shows. Yet, despite limited screens and shows, the film opened to packed houses and fared very well on its opening day, running to packed houses almost everywhere.
