The Shahid Kapoor – Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh released some time back, and since then the Arjun Reddy remake has been rocking the box office. After opening on a good note, the business of the Sandeep Vanga directorial witnessed good growth and sustained business on weekdays. Now on its second weekend running, Kabir Singh has managed to hold its own against new releases.

Collecting Rs. 47.15 cr on its second weekend, Kabir Singh manages to surpass the second weekend collections of previous releases like Padmaavat that collected Rs. 46.00 cr, Simmba that collected Rs. 39.83 cr, and Krrish 3 that collected Rs. 39.74 cr to become the seventh highest all-time second weekend grosser.
On the other hand, despite the wide release, positive reviews and good word of mouth the business of Kabir Singh on its second weekend does not manage to out beat the collections of certain other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 80.75 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 73.70 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 63.15 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 56.10 cr, PK that collected Rs. 53.49 cr, and Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 48.71 cr.
Given the current trend, expectations are that Kabir Singh will continue to do business well into its second week. In fact, the business of the film is sure to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in the coming few days.
