Box Office: Toilet – Ek Prem Katha surpasses Tubelight; becomes the 3rd highest grosser of 2017

 

The Akshay Kumar – Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet – Ek Prem Katha released a couple of weeks back. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh the film has been doing very well at the box office. In this box office report we take a look at the collections of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha while comparing the same to previously released films of 2017. Collecting Rs. 124.40 cr Toilet – Ek Prem Katha has now become the third highest grosser of 2017. Though the collections of the film do not surpass the previous releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 510.99 cr and Raees that collected Rs. 137.51 cr, it does manage to out beat the collections of other releases like, Tubelight that collected Rs. 119.26 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 117 cr, Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 116.68 cr, Kaabil that collected Rs. 103.84 cr, Hindi Medium that collected Rs. 69.59 cr and even Jab Harry Met Sejal that collected Rs. 64.21 cr.

 

However, considering that the film continues to run in theatres and still enjoys the audience’s favour the total collections of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha are expected to be even higher by the end of its third week.
