Box Office: Pari registers decent growth on Saturday, collects Rs. 5.47 cr

After bringing in Rs. 4.36 crore on its opening day, Pari saw decent growth on Saturday. There were enhanced footfalls as Rs. 5.47 crore more came in. This is fair enough for the film which was coming off a holiday and a jump like this has given it some sort of a platform to consolidate further on Sunday.

With Rs. 9.83 crore already on, the film is now set for Rs. 15 crore weekend at the least. When compared to other female centric films with a dark theme (drama or horror), these are the weekend numbers that Pari would be set against:

 

Kahaani 2 (Vidya Balan) -  Rs. 16.97 crore

 

Akira (Sonakshi Sinha) – Rs. 16.65 crore

 

Kahaani (Vidya Balan) – Rs. 15 crore

 

Alone (Bipasha Basu) – Rs. 15 crore

 

Mom (Sridevi) – Rs. 14.40 crore

 

Mardaani (Rani Mukerjee) – Rs. 14.34 crore

 

NH10 (Anushka Sharma) – Rs. 13.25 crore

 

This pretty much conveys that Pari is actually doing well for its genre and it won't be surprising if it eventually finds itself amongst the Top-3 of the list. Given the fact that there is huge competition from audience friendly Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety as well which is continuing to do great guns, Pari has managed to not just hold well but also show increase in footfalls, which is a fair deal after all.
