Box Office: Avengers – Infinity War beats Baaghi 2; becomes highest opening day grosser of 2018

The third instalment in the Avengers franchise hit a total of 2000+ screens yesterday in the Indian market. Dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu the film was piqued to see one of the biggest opening day collections for a Hollywood release. And living up to the same Avengers: Infinity War has managed to draw in a massive Rs. 31.30 cr on its Opening Day beating the Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 2.

In this box office report we take a look at the opening day collections of Avengers: Infinity War while comparing the same to previous releases of 2018. Collecting Rs. 31.30 cr Avengers: Infinity War has become the highest opening day grosser surpassing big ticket Bollywood releases like Baaghi 2 that had collected Rs. 25.10 cr, and Padmaavat that had collected Rs. 24 cr. Apart from this, the opening day collections of Avengers: Infinity War that has received positive reviews the world over also manages to surpass the collections of other Bollywood releases like Pad Man that had collected Rs. 10.26 cr, Raid that had collected Rs. 10.04 cr.

 

As of now, with no competition from earlier releases Avengers: Infinity War is expected to dominate the box office in the coming week. If that wasn’t enough, given the advance booking rate that kicked off last Sunday, the film is highly likely to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in the next couple of days/
