Bholaa Box Office: Ajay Devgn’s film manages hold on Monday

Over the extended weekend gone by, Bholaa had managed to find a footing for itself from where it could at least consolidate its collections. Though a number of Rs 50 crores would have been rather ideal, a sum of Rs 44.28 crores was also decent enough at the end of the weekend. The important thing was that the trend was positive and while there was a Friday dip, numbers that came on Saturday and Sunday have helped overcome that to an extent.

Hence all eyes were on how does Monday turn out to be since the drop needed to be less than 50% compared to Friday. As it happens for most of the movies that have enjoyed a four-day weekend and hence seen a good count of footfalls already, the Monday drop is usually a bit heavier. However, that wasn’t the case with Bholaa which managed to bring in Rs 4.50 crores. instead. Compared to Friday collections of Rs 7.40 crores, this is a level playing field.

 

What’s needed now though is that the collections continue to be stable right through the week. Rs 60 crores by the close of extended eight-day week would be a fair enough total for the action drama, so that its journey towards the Rs 100 crores mark remains intact. So far, the film has collected Rs 48.78 crores and an average of Rs 4 crores per day till Thursday will take it there.
