'Pinjar' Team On Indo-Pak Border:

While on PINJAR, the music launch of the film will be the first of its kind! Since the story of the film is set during the partition of India in 1947, the makers of the film have decided to go to the Indo-Pak border of Wagah and interact with the Pakistanis. "It's a three-day event," Aditya Shastri of 20th Century Fox tells me, "The music of the film will be released at Golden Temple in Amritsar on Day 1. The next day, the entire cast of the film -- Urmila, Manoj Bajpai, Sanjay Suri, Priyanshu, Sandali Sinha, Isha Koppikar along with the makers, music director Uttam Singh and lyricist Gulzar -- will proceed to Wagah and interact with people from across the border. Next morning, everyone will head for Delhi to address a press conference." According to Shastri, PINJAR will prove to be "the motion picture event" when it releases. "The passion with which it has been made will make people sit up and notice it. It's a film that transcends all barriers and boundaries and should appeal to all Indians and Pakistanis worldwide," he says.
