Ashutosh interacts with students

Euphoria and enthusiasm was writ large on Ashutosh Gowariker's face as he walked into the sprawling Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth campus in Navi Mumbai. He entered in great style in the same popular caravan, featured in his critically acclaimed movie SWADES. The patriotic fervor was running high at the Dr. D.Y. Patil campus as enthusiastic students greeted him by waving the Indian Tricolor amidst slogans of 'Jai Hind' and 'Vande Mataram'. The screening of SWADES drew a packed audience and the auditorium had students on the stairs and also a huge mob waiting outside the auditorium for that one glimpse of their favorite director. The interactive session in particular with Ashutosh Gowariker was immensely popular among students and all sorts of questions like Which is your next movie?, Who is your favorite hero?, Can I be a director? did the rounds. Speaking on the occasion, Gowariker explicitly stated that he was an actor by accident and subsequently, even a director by accident. He further encouraged the students to try and make a difference to the society in their own way and change a few things while they cross this earth.
