Director Sriram Raghavan strikes the hammer of genius with BADLAPUR for he buys your eyes and makes you stay glued to the screen right till the end. The biggest highlight of the film is the incredible tussle between two powerful actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Varun Dhawan unexpectedly conjoined by the quirky screenplay-labyrinth. BADLAPUR, which is reportedly based on a true story, sees Sriram Raghavan and Arijit Biswas write a wonderful screenplay. Sriram Raghavan navigates the film in a non linear format, thus, keeping you guessing at many a juncture. The viewer is foxed when the narrative floats between Raghu's 'lunch' with Harman (Vinay Pathak), Koko (Radhika Apte) and Shobha (Divya Dutta). Varun Dhawan is a very ambitious actor and his manic energy does full justice to this ambition in BADLAPUR. His transformation from an impressionable teenager and a caring husband to an eerily quiet middle aged lonely-disgruntled-man is simply legendary, to say the least. He gives you an ample display of class as an actor. The fidgety memories, ready-to-roll-tears gradually becoming a parched tsunami of desolateness, the friendship with relentless rage and effortlessly getting infested by cold bloodedness. With this film

It's a must watch movie who usually like Hollywood revenge kinda movie Badlapur Offers a cinematic excellence with a rider that there's violence and gore. Badlapur is a complete performance driven film. This Film deals a dark humor revenge .....Badlapur is a film that will find patrons amidst the multiplex crowd. And yes, it is a film that will continue to live-on in the minds of cinema lovers for a long time to come. Acting = 7.5/10 (Varun Dhawan's best acted Movie yet to find growing edges and nawaj's act as usual at it's best you will enjoy his act more then anything in this film) Directing = 9.5/10 (Director Sriram Raghavan's crime thriller is about vengeance and forgiveness all right, but one thing that the film isn't is conventional. Badlapur Movie with many shades significantly enhancing the effect of its pivotal dramatic conflict. In conclusion, Badlapur might not be in the Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddar league, but it is a happy sign that Sriram Raghavan has left Agent Vinod behind. Story = 8.1/10 (Badlapur is a Fantastic movie that suffuses on screen - a deftly written story, spectacular performances and an intelligently layered screenplay. What works best here is the film's unpredictability. From the minute it begins, you're latched to your seat with your heart throbbing in your mouth and your throat frequently choking up. For the sheer impact the movie conjures up, writer- director Sriram Raghavan deserves a bow) Climax = 7.9/10 (While the first half keeps you firmly in its grip, the second half starts meandering a little till it captures you back with an absolutely unforeseeable climax. What you mainly take away from this movie is its core; a story (written by Sriram Raghavan) that tells us that most often the situation is the villain. And, perhaps, each of us is capable of turning a criminal when faced with an extreme situation.) Why to Watch : If you are fan of Hollywood style of Movie, This Love Revange is far better then any other Indian Movie even good from Amir Starer "Gajini" or John Starer "Force". and obviously if u are fan of Nawaj's acting. Why to not : Unmature act of Varun Dhawan who is trying his best. What to Do : Go Watch it in Theater you will enjoy it for sure.

It's good to see the Indian cinema is actually getting matured. I mean really, it is coming out of it puberty and stepping towards the adulthood. Revenge drama, anti-hero, realistic story telling and gory bloodshed. Nothing of them is new in Indian cinema, in fact our very own SRK actually made them as his stepping stones towards success. No nothing is new except the way this story is told, in a typical Neo-Noir style. If the strength of this movie is Nawaz and all the other female actors (Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, Divya Dutt and Yami Gautam) the weakness is definitely Varun Dhawan. May be he has the best screen presence comparing to every other actors in this film but he is totally misplaced and miscast in this revenge saga. Now about the story, it's about murder, revenge murder, revenge sex, revengeful mind-games and manipulation, which is of-course backed up by some gory brutality and blood-spill. A young man loses his wife and kid when 2 bank robbers car-jacked them after a bank robbery. One of the robber kills them in cold blood by pushing the kid out of the car and then shooting the wife. Now as I've already ticked the box of 'Contains Spoiler', I can tell you, when the main antagonist confess killing them saying he wasn't thinking straight, I begged to differ. Rest is about how the vengeful husband takes his revenge pretty much on everybody who's involved, including the NGO worker who tried to free the antagonist. No he didn't kill her. Please go and watch this movie if you like Revenge Drama and have a stomach for gory violence; Caution: The violence in it is not only physical it is psychological also.
