World Music Day 2021: Tujhse Hai Raabta's Sehban Azim - "Music has been an integral part of my life"

Sehban Azim, who plays the role of Malhar in Zee TV’s Tujhse Hai Raabta, shares his love for music and how music plays an important role in his life. The actor also opened up about how has music helped him in many ways in life and acting career.

While talking about the vital role of music in his life, Sehban Azim recals his childhood and said, “Music has been an integral part of my life. As a kid, I have many memories related to music, especially how my father used to listen to Indian Classical Music on a regular basis. In fact, I was so into music that the first thing I bought after saving my pocket money was a Walkman. Since the 4th grade, I also developed a habit of collecting music cassettes with my brother and by the time we were in senior secondary school, I had started collecting CDs."

 

Talking further about it, he says that, "Even today, I have a habit of putting all my favourites into playlists. I have online playlists for all my moods. I listen to music when I'm sad, when I am happy, I need music, even when I'm low I need music as well as when I'm high on energy I need music. Not many people know, even before doing a particular scene for Tujhse Hai Raabta, I use music as a tool to get into the mood of the scene. I have made a lot of friends online as well because they follow me on an online app because of my collection and taste in music. Every time I stumble upon a good song, I make sure I make all of them listen to it as the saying goes ‘people who share good music and movies are important.’ My current favourite song is ‘Dastaan’ by Tajdar Junaid and I hope, on World Music Day, people share good music with everyone around them and promote budding talent.”
