Ranbir Kapoor breaks silence on rumours claiming Alia Bhatt stopping him from promoting Tu Jhoothi main Makkaar with Shraddha Kapoor; says, “Aap controversy create kar rahe ho”

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently keeping busy with the promotional activities of his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starring alongside Shraddha Kapoor. In his recent interaction with the media, the actor broke silence on the rumours doing rounds regarding his wife, Alia Bhatt being the reason behind why the lead cast is not promoting the film together.

At promotional events, the actors have not appeared together and have been promoting the film individually which gave rise to several rumours. Ranbir defended his wife and put an end to the rumours when asked about Alia's involvement in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar's promotional activities. “Wo kyun mana karegi? Aap aise hi afwah uda rahe hai. Aisa kisi ne nahi bola hai, aap controversy create kar rahe ho. Aaj kal mere life mein koi controversy nahi hai,” Ranbir said.

 

For those not in the know, rumours about Alia's involvement in Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor's separate promotions for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar surfaced. The actor had earlier clarified, though, that it was because the filmmakers wanted the audience to see the new on-screen couple on a large screen first.

 

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starring alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The film is directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Bhushan Kumar. It is all set to have a festive release worldwide in cinemas on Holi, March 8. Ranbir also has Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri.
