FAN has performed exceptionally well in the overseas markets by collecting approx. 6.01 mil USD [40.05 cr.] in its opening weekend. The movie has thus emerged as the *highest opening weekend grosser of 2016* in the overseas.

On the other hand, Hindi films continue to face stiff competition from their regional counterparts in overseas. After Punjabi films which dominated the Australia box office last month , it's the
turn of THERI (Tamil) which is doing extraordinary business in key international markets. At the Australia box office, the movie has surpassed the opening weekend business of AIRLIFT.
At the Malaysia box office, the collections of THERI have surpassed the collections of FAN by a huge margin inspite of being released there in similar number of screens.
