In an industry where loose talk and back-stabbing is rampant [second nature?], there still exist people like Rajkumar Hirani [MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S.] who speak glowingly about their contemporaries and their projects.
Like we all know by now, Hirani is working on the sequel to MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S., titled MUNNABHAI L.L.B., but that doesn't stop him from talking highly of PARINEETA, which is also being made by MUNNABHAI producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by ad man Pradeep Sarkar.
Hirani has heard the songs of this period flick, starring Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan, and he can't stop raving about it. The music is mellifluous, it's the best score I've heard in a long, long time, Hirani tells me, adding in the same breath, Shantanu Moitra [the music director of PARINEETA] has got the feel of the subject right.
Meanwhile, Hirani has finally completed the scripting of MUNNABHAI L.L.B. The plot wasn't making much headway after I reached the mid-point. But after a lot of brain storming sessions, we've finally reached a convincing finale, he states.
Hopefully, MUNNABHAI L.L.B. should roll before the end of the year.
