OMG 2 Box Office: Film collections Rs. 17.55 cr on Day 3; has a very good weekend, set to be a big hit

OMG 2 is set to be yet another good success this winning season. The excellent run that started for Bollywood post the release of The Kerala Story more than three months back has been rather uninterrupted, what with half a dozen successes already and still counting. With OMG 2 been added to the list, it’s nice to see how content and entertainment has come together to find acceptance from the audiences.

This can well be seen from the weekend of Rs. 43.11 crores that the film has managed and that too when it is an A certificate affair. One may argue that the Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam film could have done better had it arrived solo since there is Gadar 2 in front of it. However, the fact that cannot be denied is that this clash gave it some extra leverage as well in terms of publicity. Moreover, this is a five-day weekend too and hence there will be extra benefit that will come the way of this Amit Raj directed film.

 

It’s heartening to see wonderful numbers continue to come in, as was the case on Sunday too when OMG 2 managed Rs. 17.55 crores for itself when there was Gadar 2 playing on adjacent screens and scoring a half century in a single day. All in all, a blockbuster weekend for Bollywood where audiences are grabbing films across genres.
