What is it really like growing up in the Deol household?
In this candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama's Rohit Khilnani, actor Karan Deol opens up about his life, his family, his career and what it means to carry the Deol surname.
Karan has worked with his father Sunny Deol in Batwara 1947, but despite growing up around one of Bollywood's most iconic families, he says he has never used the famous line “Pata Hai Mera Baap Kaun Hai?” — simply because that's not who he is. Soft-spoken and grounded, Karan talks about staying authentic to his own personality.
He also gets candid about the Deols and admits that “we're not very good at PR”, while explaining why he believes being authentic is more important than constantly trying to create an image.
Karan gives a glimpse into life inside the Deol household, his bond with his father Sunny Deol and uncle Bobby Deol, and how growing up in a film family has shaped him.
He also talks about his friendship and relationship with his wife Drisha, who gives him honest feedback and isn't afraid to tell him when she thinks he can do better.
And there's a softer side to Karan too—his deep love for pets and animals, something he grew up with and continues to be passionate about.
Watch Karan Deol get candid about family, fame, acting, marriage, authenticity and life as a Deol in this exclusive conversation with Rohit Khilnani.
