Among the projects in his upcoming slate are The Revolutionaries, Lust Stories 3, Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, Call Me Bae Season 2 and Dynasty.
Gurfateh Pirzada on The Revolutionaries
Gurfateh will be seen in The Revolutionaries, a period project set in the 1910s against the backdrop of India's freedom struggle and the British Raj. “The first of these projects is The Revolutionaries, set in the 1910s and rooted in the freedom struggle against the British Raj,” he said.
Actor talks about Lust Stories 3
The actor is also part of Lust Stories 3, which is directed by Kiran Rao. Reflecting on the experience, Gurfateh described it as a rare opportunity that gave him considerable creative freedom. “That was an absolute roller coaster, one of those rare opportunities that an actor doesn’t get very often today. I’m incredibly glad I got the opportunity, the space, and the freedom to do something like that, and more importantly, to work with Kiran,” he said.
Gurfateh to share screen with Imran Khan and Bhumi Pednekar
Another major project on his slate is Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, a contemporary romantic comedy directed by Danish Aslam. The film features Gurfateh alongside Imran Khan and Bhumi Pednekar. The project also marks Imran's return to films after a decade. “It’s a lovely modern romantic comedy set against the backdrop of cricket, directed by Danish Aslam,” Gurfateh said.
Call Me Bae Season 2 feels like ‘home’
Gurfateh will also return for the second season of Call Me Bae. The actor said the show holds a special place in his career, particularly after several projects he had been associated with were shelved. “And then there’s Call Me Bae Season 2. That one feels like home. The show gave me a second life of sorts at the movies, especially after having seen multiple projects get shelved, and I’m incredibly grateful to be back with it,” he said.
Dynasty and more projects ahead
Gurfateh is also part of Dynasty, a political drama currently in post-production and expected to release next year. Looking back at the demanding schedule, the actor said he spent much of the past two years working continuously, at times juggling multiple shoots in a single day.
“I’ve spent the better part of the last two years working non-stop, sometimes doing double, even triple shifts in a day,” he said, describing the period as “exhausting, chaotic, and honestly, one of the most rewarding periods” of his career.
He added that some projects were being filmed simultaneously, requiring him to travel between different sets while managing limited sleep.
