Gangubai Kathiawadi Day 3 Occupancy: Alia Bhatt starrer sees a jump of 15% in morning and noon shows over Saturday
The Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has arrived. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has taken theatres by storm, with audience flocking cinemas across the country. After opening with a bang, Gangubai Kathiawadi that has received positive reviews and feedback from the audience and critics alike has been raking in the moolah at the box office. In fact, on Day 1 the business of the film surpassed expectations that had predicted a Rs. 7 cr. opening day to rake in a massive Rs. 10.50 cr.
On Day 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi continued to see growth with positive word of mouth and good reviews and collected Rs. 13.32 cr. But, if that wasn’t enough, on Day 3, Gangubai Kathiawadi has seen a further jump of 15% in occupancy over morning and noon shows when compared to Day 2. The occupancy in morning and early noon shows were close to 80%. With more number of shows indicating higher occupancy the film looks set to enjoy a massive weekend at the box office. Interestingly, this 15% increase is over its Day 2 increase that saw the film take a jump of 25% from day 1.
Currently, reports suggest that Gangubai Kathiawadi has been welcomed with open arms by the audience in both the multiple dominated metro cities, as well as the single screen dominated mass circuits. With more and more locations putting up houseful board, Gangubai Kathiawadi is set to see its opening weekend collections enter the range of Rs. 40 cr.
