Gangubai Kathiawadi Box Office Week 1 Trends: Alia Bhatt starrer likely to end Week 1 with Rs. 64 cr.

The Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali released last week on Friday. Since then the film has been seeing exponential growth in business at the box office. After opening on a thunderous note, the collections of Gangubai Kathiawadi saw a spike in collections over its first Saturday and Sunday in theatres. In fact, on its first Monday, the business of the film held strong with evening and night shows indicating an increase in occupancy, thanks to the Mahashivratri holiday.

According to the current trend, the business of Gangubai Kathiawadi that is currently pegged at Rs. 47.31 cr. after 4 days is likely to see further growth. In fact, trade estimates state that the film could well see its first week collections hovering around Rs. 64 cr. Given the fact, that today, Tuesday is a holiday in most domestic territories, the business of Gangubai Kathiawadi is certain to see another spike in collections. As per estimates the business of the film will eventually cross the Rs. 50 cr. mark on Day 5, today.

 

Going by the currently rate, if Gangubai Kathiawadi maintains the current momentum the film could easily cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark by the end of its second weekend running.
