Jab We Met- The Girl-Next-Door look

Jab We Met was about being bubbly and excited without going over the top. Geet was spontaneous and fun-loving, and that was exactly what her wardrobe reflected. Printed or slogan tees paired with loose-fitting harem or patiala pants in solid colors or a chikan kurta with a pair of dark-wash skinny jeans and simple accessories. Plus to carry it all, the unbeatable I-love-myself attitude!

Geet became a trendsetter. The T-shirt and salwar combination happened by chance. It was supposed to be a night scene and Imtiaz, who has such a fantastic eye for detail, was trying to figure out what would Kareena wear to bed on a train. Since Bebo already donned a salwar kurta, they decided that the character would change the top and put on a t-shirt, something as natural and simple as that. Manish decided to glam up the salwar combo by designing a black corset with harem pants for the song Mauja Hi Mauja. Next thing, young girls everywhere were grooming in the same ensemble. Even Shobhaa De called Jab We Met the most styled film of the year. Geet became so iconic that even Madame Tussauds decided that she would be the character they wanted as Kareenas wax statue!
