Celebrity, as someone rightly said, is a person who works hard to become famous but after getting fame resorts to glares in order to avoid being recognized! Well, that holds true not just in Hollywood, but also in our very own Bollywood.

Being famous for their films is one thing and being famous for their illegal actions or bad behavior in real life is something that most of the celebs fear. Many a times the real-life acts of the stars have landed them on the other side of the law; the recent example of this being that of Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna, who have an FIR issued against them, in lieu of an indecent gesture by the celebrity couple at a recent held fashion show.

Bollywood Hungama profiles a handful of tinsel stars who have either been arrested or have a FIR issued against them.

Hemant Birje

Even though he has had his share of the limelight as a lead hero, he was (and still remains to be) eternally popular as the Tarzan. Needless to say, that it was this role that facilitated Hemant to become the swinging sensation of the eighties.

But, just a few years back, this man was arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly molesting a girl at Oshiwara in suburban Andheri. Reports have it that the complainant (a girl) was sitting inside her car parked at Oshiwara one evening, when Birje was allegedly supposed to have made a pass at her, and later molested her.

Currently, Hemant Birje is all set to act and direct a sequel to Tarzan titled Return Of Tarzan.
