DP: What about shopping?

ST: I love the flea markets. I dont feel like I need to buy a Louis Vuitton purse to feel good about myself. Its a complete waste of money. Id rather spend that money in travelling.

DP: Next comes travelling.

ST: Yes, it does. In fact, Im doing a travel show where Im going to Latvia and Estonia. Ive also done a show in the US called the Culture Show. Ive been writing for Elle, Cosmopolitan and Femina as a single girl travelling alone.

DP: Sounds like youve travelled the world over. Which has been your favourite destination?

ST: I cant pick one place. But I love New Zealand for its outdoors. The scenic beauty keeps on changing as you drive from the North Island to the South Island. I love Rome. I think its the most romantic place to be in. If its a single girl travelling after her break up, Id recommend going to Italy. The food, the beautiful looking men and the language is so romantic. I love Paris too. New York is one of my favourite cities in the world to live. If its a short trip, say about four to five days, Id go to Thailand. The beaches there are great.

DP: Hows your love interest in Radio, Himesh doing?

ST: He is absolutely fine. He is a very sweet guy. Radio is a love story. I play a girl who is half Parsi and half Punjabi from a crazy family. Im a girl who gets different kinds of job. One day Im playing a clown, the next day Im delivering flowers, the third, Im working at the petrol pump, etc. Himesh plays a very famous radio jockey who meets me and turns me into an RJ too. Its a love story between us.

DP: God help you both!

ST: (laughs) Why? Tell me something, what is your perception of me?

DP: You are too chilled out babe! You go with the flow and Id rather see you replace any of the boys in Dil Chahta Hai.

ST: Thank you. But I can do any film. I am an actress and acting is a serious business. You need to be smart to be a good actor. There is a lot of taking and giving in this profession.
