In the initial days, it was Kala that was more often used than its English counterpart in film titles. So you had titles like Dev Anand starrer Kala Bazaar or the Big B starrer Kala Patthar which dealt with the lives of workers in a coal-mine. <BR><BR><br><p class=clear>&nbsp;</p>In the recent past Sanjay Leela Bhansali showed us the world of a deaf, mute and blind girl in his award-winning film Black while Anurag Kashyap recreated the horrific serial blasts that rocked the city of Mumbai on a Black Friday way back in 1993. <BR><BR><br><p class=clear>&nbsp;</p>In more ways than one, just like how it is in real life, the colour Black has been used to signify darkness, gloom and depression even in our films.</span>
