Don 3: Ritesh Sidhwani dismisses backlash over Ranveer Singh's casting; says, “We will answer that when”

The makers of Don 3 recently announced that Ranveer Singh will be playing the iconic role of Don, which was previously played by Shah Rukh Khan. The announcement received mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing excitement about the new casting and others expressing disappointment that SRK would not be returning.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani has now responded to the backlash, dismissing it as "nothing" and saying that they will "answer" the critics when the trailer for Don 3 is released.

"It's nothing. We will answer that when we come to Don 3. When you see the trailer, you tell me if that guy lives up to what the character [demands in the film]. Now, it's our job to make sure it happens," Sidhwani told indianexpress.com.

Speaking of the professional front, Ritesh is currently awaiting the release of Bambai Meri Jaan. The Amazon Prime Video show is set in the underbelly of Mumbai in the 60s and the many nexus that existed in the city. The show stars Avinash Tiwary, Kay Kay Menon, Kritika Kamra, Amyra Dastur and Nivedita Bhattacharya, among others. It is directed by Shujaat Saudagar, and Rensil D’silva is credited as the co-creator along with him.
