Pathaan Box Office: Film emerges as Shah Rukh Khan’s highest opening week grosser

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan was released last week on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand the film which also features Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham saw a release across 5,500 screens in the domestic market. With this wide screen count, immense anticipation from the audience and of course positive feedback the film opened on a thunderous note. In fact, after registering one of the highest opening day collections, the business of Pathaan continued to see growth with each passing day.

In this box office report, we look at the opening week collections of Pathaan while comparing the same to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous releases. Not surprisingly, Pathaan, which has collected Rs. 330.25 cr has emerged as the actor’s highest opening week grosser. In fact, Pathaan has managed to surpass the collections of SRK’s films like Chennai Express, which collected Rs. 156.70 cr, Happy New Year, which collected Rs. 157.57 cr, Dilwale, which collected Rs. 102.65 cr, and Raees, which collected Rs. 118.36 cr, amongst others.


Going forward, Pathaan is expected to continue its domination over the box office. In fact, trade estimates claim that the business of Pathaan will see further growth over its second weekend in theatres.
