Major Box Office: Adivi Sesh starrer Major collects 271,385 USD [Rs. 2.10 cr.] on premiere day
The Adivi Sesh starrer Major which is based on the life of 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was released yesterday. However, in the overseas markets the film released a day earlier with paid premiere shows. Being high on patriotic flavour with dollops of action, expectations of the multilingual film were at an all-time high.
As per reports, Major has opened on a good note in the overseas markets. In fact, Major has managed to draw in USD 271,385 [Rs. 2.10 cr.] from the sale of premiere day [Thursday] tickets alone. Interestingly, the film managed this from just 293 screens.
Going forward, Major that has release in multiple languages is expected to see its business grow by leaps and bounds. With the patriot aspect of the film taking centre stage, predictions state that Major will do immensely well in the overseas markets.
