Resul Pookutty cries foul over Aamir's Satyamev Jayate

Even though Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate' (SMJ) has gone off air now, it still continues to make news. This time, not for the right reason though. At the 'firing end' this time, is none other than the Oscar-winning sound specialist Resul Pookutty, who has hit out at the show for being "doctored."

Talking about the show, Resul said that SMJ was a completely doctored show and that a lot of sound post-production work was done on the show. He also added that the show was treated just like a film in terms of how sound (mixing) is handled in a film, so that one can sort of emotionally blackmail audiences. He said that SMJ was treated in the same fashion.

 

Resul, who last made news with Slumdog Millionaire, is back again as a part of Tim Sebastian's much-awaited debate series 'The Outsider', which is rumored to be on the lines of SMJ. But, Resul puts his foot down to claim that they are doing no such manipulation and that his show will be at par with international programming.
