Best Music Video

A good music video often serves as a catalyst for audiences to flock to the theatres. This year too there were many such videos which vied for top honour in this category but in the end it was Mashallah Mashallah from Ek Tha Tiger that was voted the Best Music Video beating other competition by a big margin. The song featured during the end credits of the film and had Salman and Katrina dancing in a Moroccan setting. The song was beautifully choreographed by ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant.

Speaking about this honour, Vaibhavi said, Firstly I want to just say thank you, because I may have a very disappointing reaction from people from my own fraternity, but one thing is that your audience will never fail you or let you down. In fact I think that is the whole reason we do films, mainly to entertain them and if they are happy with our work and appreciate it with such a response, it speaks a lot. I am really, really touched by the audience and my fans for voting. Actually it was very difficult to shoot Mashallah, as the song came in at the very last moment and we had to shoot it, so there was a lot of decision making that we went through, when we decided to rather shoot it in a controlled environment than any other location. So it was a big task to recreate Morocco in Film City Mumbai and shoot the song sequence. Here is where I think I should really thank our art directors for making Film City Mumbai look like Morocco.

The runner up in this category was Hookah Bar from Khiladi 786 that is still a favourite among D.J.s at all the parties and night-clubs.
