Ashmit found the people in Fiji very warm and friendly. He says, The people there have that laid back attitude towards life which is great because they are never stressed. Also there is a large Indian population because 150 years ago the British had taken a bunch of people from India to work as farmers in the sugar cane field. After five years, they were given the option to either comeback to India or stay back there. I guess a lot of people did choose to stay back at Fiji. Many Gujaratis have also migrated there recently and are very successful businessmen there. All the top businessmen there are pretty much Gujaratis.

Ashmit is not very fond of shopping but he did get some gifts for his friends. I wanted to bring back some souvenirs for my friends but honestly I didnt even have that much time in hand. My last two days were spent exploring the place and trying out adventure sports plus I hate shopping. I did buy some stuff from a shop in the airport on the way back. I got a few t-shirts and small souvenirs for my friends.
