<span class=normal>Hey Ram<BR><br><p class=clear>&nbsp;</p>It is a film that took us back to the era of the British raj. For a film that was mostly shot in a flashback mode, its director Kamal Haasan did a magnificent job of putting parts of a jigsaw together to ultimately arrive at the larger picture. So compelling and telling was the film, which some cinema houses refused to screen the film after its release. Besides this, the film was also, by far one of the most politically stirring pieces of celluloid that have been released in the Indian sub continent. </span>
