On A Date With Lisa Haydon: Part 2 : Bollywood News

DP: Of course it does. Its sweet

(Im really thinking and asking myself - Sweet???)

LH: A lot of my close pals call me Lilu too. Thats the more often used name Im being called by.

DP: Lilu means Green in Gujarati.

LH: It also means silky in Gujarati right?

DP: No it doesnt. Its Lissu not Lisa. But hey, is ramp walking going to get dull for you now that youve embarked upon films?

LH: Yes. It will have to take a back seat for the time being because there is a cliché in Bollywood that if you keep on doing ramp then youre not serious about acting. I dont want to be falling in that bracket. But I do walk for my designer friends sometimes.

DP: Youve got an accent. Dont you feel bad that you would be dubbed in most of your movies till you dont perfect it?

LH: In my first film Aisha, I wasnt dubbed. In Rascals I was but I guess it will be till I dont perfect my Bollywood Hindi. Does that make sense?

DP: You really use the sentence Does that make sense

LH: I do I do (laughs).

DP: Dont you miss Australia?

LH: I do. I went back twice in the first year. Its been four years in Mumbai now. But I might go back for the New Years this year. My friends miss me there too. But after living in Mumbai, it seems like there is no opportunity in Australia. The entertainment industry is quite small out there.

DP: Unless you bump into Baz Luhrmann.

LH: Trust me, you can bump into Baz anytime in Australia and by the way, we both used to share the same yoga teacher.

DP: How spooky! He is shooting The Great Gatsby right now in Australia.

LH: Yea? Thats interesting.
