Devansh Patel (DP): I ran all the way to buy you a gift. Its what I call a date. So, youre surprised?

Candice Boucher (CB): Yes I am. Ive never seen anyone run like this to buy me a gift. Im honoured (laughs).

DP: So what are you waiting for? Unleash the present. But hang on! Are you one of those types who take their sweet time to unwrap it?

CB: (laughs) not anymore. I used to take time.

DP: Ok, take a wild guess. What do you think is inside the box?

CB: (As she lays her hands on the wrapping paper) I think it must be something to do with alcohol.

DP: Wow! You are so good at this. But the best thing is whats written on it.

CB: Yes (laughs). Life is too short to date dull men (laughs) All this in fifteen minutes, all wrapped. Im very impressed. Thank you.

DP: So, are you surprised that this is called On a Date with Candice Boucher?

CB: I am a little. Im nervous.

DP: What? A chic like you getting nervous? That doesnt make sense.

CB: The first date is always nerve wrecking. Do you know what I mean? The ground rules and all. Its a new territory.

DP: Your first nerve wrecking moment. Come on, recall it for me. I wanna know.

CB: (laughs) I was in school then. I remember we went to the beach in Durban. My mother wasnt too happy about it (laughs). I was sixteen or seventeen. It kind of started very late. It was a family thing. Like a date with his family.

DP: The beach is right in front of us. Do you mind if we both go to the beach and continue our date?

CB: (laughs) Its raining and its quite dull out there (laughs).

DP: Do you laugh this often. I mean, Im not troubling you with my horrific questions, am I?

CB: No, no. Im just very happy today. Thats how I am.
