<span class=normal>She started her career as a theatre actor in Delhi with the locally popular Asmita Theatre Group, under the able guidance of the prolific theatre director Arvind Gaur. And it was under the aegis of this man that she paved the way to her first play called Tale-Danda (Rakt-Kalyan), which was directed by the popular Girish Karnad, in which she played the role of Lalitamba. <BR><BR><br><p class=clear>&nbsp;</p>For her detractors (if any) who doubt her versatility, we are sure that the following incident will put any doubt to rest. Once, on D-Day of her show, a male actor couldnt attend the show for personal reasons. It took a mere one hour for our Kangna to get ready for that role. Needles to say that, both of her performances (as a girl as well as a guy), besides getting her appreciations by a ton, also got her a standing ovation, which, incidentally is the ultimate gift for any actor! Way to go, Kangna! </span>
