Upbringing

Im definitely hungry for more success, for more recognition, for more visibility and for more work. Im very hard working and committed. I come from a simple Maharashtrian middle class family. My upbringing was very traditional because in my house, watching movies wasnt a very good thing. My parents used to tell me that watching television couldve spoilt me, and look where I am now (laughs). I can remember the day when I wasnt allowed to watch Titanic because of the nude scene. My father made me wait for three years till I finally watched it with friends when I was seventeen.

Tough days

I recall days when I used to roam the streets with twenty to thirty rupees in my pocket. Ive travelled in the buses and trains and there was a time in my life before I entered the Miss India 2006, while I was in college, I had to make a choice between the four rupees ka Vada Pau and the bus ticket. Ive seen a tough life, but touchwood, havent seen the worst. I am raring to go in Bollywood
