I delivered a performance in Gangs Of Wasseypur that Anurag is very proud of
After the first day of the shoot, Anurag Kashyap called me and he told me that he was very doubtful that Id pull it off but he was pleasantly surprised. I am not a big name in the industry and Anurag knows that. He also knows this is my first big film as the lead and he cant afford to go wrong. I went with his trust and from there on I decided I wont let him down. I delivered a performance that he is really proud of.

In college I used to work with Barry John who used to work in Delhi at that time
I have a theatre background from Delhi. I started doing theatre in school. In college, I used to work with Barry John who used to work in Delhi at that time. I did a play and from that I was picked up to do Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. Between Oye Lucky and Gangs Of Wasseypur, there was a gap of a year and a half to two years. In that time too I kept on doing theatre. I did a play called Kennedy Bridge with Khalid Mohammed last year before Gangs Of Wasseypur started.
