With a production that spans across two countries different challenges are created

Initially we thought of making Sons Of Ram a Tele-film, as this was part of our two films deal with Cartoon Network 4 years ago, although it was later decided to be made into a full length animation feature film. When we first started work on the film, I wanted it to be incredibly deep rooted in Indian art, heritage and culture, so we researched it according to the various ethnic art styles and paintings. Sons Of Ram, was produced in India and Malaysia, so a production that spans across two countries creates different challenges as this was made on a rigid timeline and budget. It was requisite that we simplified the designs, and not go over the top in order to expedite the production process by multiple artists working at different places. In the final look and feel of the film, it can be observed that it is not as Indian as originally intended.
