Shammi Kapoor played the role of Ustad Jameel Khan a renowned classical artist and a Padma Bhushan winner, who gives Ranbirs character JJ his first big break. The duo also did a jugalbandi where Ranbir played the guitar and Shammiji played the shehnai. He even refused to take any remuneration for it. His cameo came as a surprise to many and was one of the highlights of the film. He played the perfect gentleman and had us mesmerized with his enchanting waltz with Priyanka Chopra. </p></span>
