BO update: Welcome 2 Karachi starts slow, San Andreas better
After last week's release TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS (TWMR) worked its magic at the box office, this week we see the release of the Arshad Warsi, Jackky Bhagnani and Lauren Gottlieb starrer WELCOME 2 KARACHI (W2K) along with two other small time films ISHQEDARIYAAN and I LOVE DESI. Simultaneously, we all see the release of the Hollywood film SAN ANDREAS that features action star Dwayne Johnson.

Expectations state that TWMR, which had a tremendous first week will stay strong; reports coming in from across the country reinforce the statement. In fact W2K has clocked a measly 10% occupancy rate during morning shows, while the other two Bollywood releases are not listed. However, SAN ANDREAS has opened on a slightly better note.
Overall this weekend too is more than likely to be dominated by TWMR, with the SAN ANDREAS that is expected to grow over evening and night shows. W2K on the other hand that has received less than positive reviews will have to rely heavily on good word of mouth to post decent collections.
