BO update: Housefull 4 opens on a slow note of 20%

After much talk and promotion we finally see the release of the fourth instalment in the HOUSEFULL franchise. Featuring an all-star cast led by Akshay Kumar HOUSEFULL 4 has been one of the most keenly anticipated releases. But will the comic caper that deals with reincarnation entice the audience this festive season is the question.

Reports state that HOUSEFULL 4 has started off a slow note with occupancy rates during morning shows being pegged at 20%. However, this being the pre-Diwali phase the film was expected to start on a slightly sluggish note on account of audience preparing for the festive weekend. Besides this, today being the first day of Diwali, Dhanteras, trade predictions had stated that the business of HOUSEFULL 4 would be on the slightly lower side. As of now, HOUSEFULL 4 is expected to see an increase in footfalls over the weekend. Besides with advance booking for the film that opened on Sunday, estimates are that the venture is likely to rake in Rs. 9-10 cr from advance ticket sales alone.

 

On the whole, despite a slow start, HOUSEFULL 4 will see an increase in collections as the days progress. In fact, predictions state that the film is likely to rake in Rs. 17-20 cr on its opening day alone.  If that wasn’t all, with Monday and Tuesday being holidays in certain territories, expectations are that the business of HOUSEFULL 4 that will rely on positive reviews and strong word of mouth could well see bumper collections.
