BO update: 'Fugly' better than other new releases!

The recent releases faced competition not just from other releases, but also events like IPL and T20 series. The only film that managed a release sans any such competition was HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY. This week, however, there were multiple releases vying for audience attention, prominent among them being FUGLY, which, like HOLIDAY, also has an Akshay Kumar connect. Unlike the previous releases, this week's releases too face competition from the football tournament FIFA that started yesterday. Though, unlike cricket, which enjoys a massive fan following in India, the football matches aren't expected to hit film business hard.

As expected, FUGLY took the lead, garnering a better start than the other new releases, but the film faces tough competition from HOLIDAY, which is expected to dominate the market place. HOLIDAY enjoys tremendous word of mouth and the trending on week days clearly proved that the film will find ample patronage in Week 2. FUGLY will have to grow substantially to withstand the opposition from HOLIDAY.
