The Siddharth Anand directed film War released yesterday after much fanfare and hype. Starring Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles, War has been one of the most talked about and keenly anticipated releases. Given this fact, the makers of the film Yash Raj Films left no stone unturned to ensure its box office success. In fact, advance bookings for the film opened five days before its release, with the makers opting for a wide release across 4000 screens in India.

If that wasn’t enough, the opening day business of War has seen considerably better collections than Tiger’s previous releases like Student of the Year 2 that collected Rs. 12.06 cr, Baaghi that collected Rs. 11.94 cr, A Flying Jatt that collected Rs. 7.1 cr, Munna Michael that collected Rs. 6.65 cr, and Heropanti that had collected Rs. 6.63 cr.

 

Currently, War that released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti enjoys not just a wide screen count and good rate of advance bookings, but also an extended weekend. In fact, predictions state that the film will not only cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in the next few days, but will also eventually emerge as Tiger Shroff’s highest grossing film.
