RRR (Hindi) Box Office: SS Rajamouli film fares best in Mumbai circuit; collects Rs. 44.78 cr.

The SS Rajamouli directorial RRR starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn released a little over a week ago, and since then the film has been raking in the moolah at the box office. Being Rajamouli’s first directorial after the epic Bahubali saga, expectations from RRR were at an all-time high. Living up to the same, the business of the film has been performing as expected, wowing the audience and critics alike. Enjoying a wide release across 8000 screens in multiple languages and formats the business of RRR has been setting new records.

In this box office report, we look at the territory wise collections of RRR to gain a better understanding which domestic circuit has been highly beneficial to the business of the film. Not surprisingly, the Mumbai circuit, that has contributed Rs. 44.78 cr. to the overall collections of the film leads as the highest grossing domestic circuit. Following this are Delhi-UP that saw Rs. 27.36 cr. coming and, and East Punjab that saw a collection of Rs. 12.11 cr. While these domestic circuits saw the film’s business record double digits, other territories like CP, CI, and Rajasthan that saw collections of Rs. 9.66 cr, Rs. 6.55 cr, and Rs. 8.19 cr respectively.

 

Going forward, the business of RRR is expected to see further growth. With the Gudi Padwa festivities over its second weekend running, estimates state that the overall collections of the film could easily cross the Rs. 150 cr. mark if not the Rs. 170 cr. target.
