Ram Setu Box Office Estimate Day 3: DROPS by 30 percent on Day 3; total stands low at Rs. 34.50 crores

By Bollywood Hungama News Network -

The Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu is seeing a downward slide in collections at the box office in India. After collecting Rs. 26.65 crore through the first two days, the film dropped by 30 percent on the third day. According to early estimates. Ram Setu has collected in the range of Rs. 7.60 to 8.20 crore on the third day. There is a drop of 35 percent in the multiplexes, but the mass belts acted as a stabilizer taking the overall drop in the 30 percent range.

Ram Setu Box Office Estimate Day 3: DROPS by 30 percent on Day 3; total stands low at Rs. 34.50 crores

Ram Setu is dropping post the opening day, but that was expected as the film was released on a Tuesday with mixed reports from critics and audiences alike. Tomorrow - Friday will be the acid test. If Ram Setu drops by 15 to 20 percent on Friday, then it will end its run way under the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office. Even on the third day, the business benefited due to the Diwali festival holiday in the mass belt.

On Friday most states will be out of the festive flavor and hence, it won't be too surprising if there is another drop in numbers. The three-day numbers are low for a festival release featuring a star of Akshay Kumar's calibre. The three-day business for a Diwali release at worst should have been upside of Rs. 45 crore, but Ram Setu has fallen short of expectations.

Over the next 3 days, we need to see if Ram Setu can somehow manage to reach around the Rs. 60 crore mark, as that might keep it in the race to hit a century though the trend over the first 3 days suggests a tough path ahead for this Abhishek Sharma directed action adventure.
