Prince Box Office: Sivakarthikeyan starrer starts well; collects Rs. 7.03 cr on Day 1 at the Tamil Nadu box office

Prince, the romantic comedy film written and directed by Anudeep KV starring Sivakarthikeyan, Maria Ryaboshapka and Sathyaraj was released yesterday. Despite facing stiff competition from the Karthi starrer Sardar, the business of the film managed to hold its own at the box office. In fact, with positive reviews Prince has started with a bang managing to draw in Rs. 7.03 cr on its opening day at the Tamil Nadu box office.

Interestingly, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer Prince has managed to entice the audience despite its competition in this market in the form of Sardar garnering positive reviews. In fact, looking at the current trend within this market, Prince seems piqued to lead the box office charge with Sardar following close behind. With both films doing equally well, while at the same time offering the audience a variety to choose from in theatres, this festive season of Diwali is sure to be a treat for the audience.

 

Currently, both Prince and Sardar look set to enjoy a money spinning weekend at the box office. And given the fact that Monday and Tuesday are holidays on account of Diwali, it is estimated that both the films viz. Prince and Sardar are sure to see their collections increase by leaps and bounds.
