Maidaan Box Office Estimate Day 3: Makes a spectacular comeback with 100% surge on Saturday; collects Rs. 6.25 crores

The Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan is fighting back at the box office as the film has seen a nearly 100% percent surge in collections on its 3rd day as compared to Day 2. According to early estimates, Maidaan has collected in the range of Rs. 6 to 6.50 crores on the third day, taking total collections to approx. Rs. 16.50 crores.

The film opened at Rs. 7.25 crores (including paid previews) followed by a dip to Rs. 3 crores on Friday and finally a spike to Rs. 6.25 crores on Saturday. Maidaan is doing the best business in the urban centres and the film is expected to see another surge in collections on Sunday, taking the extended weekend collection to Rs. 24 crores.

 

Maidaan is commanding a positive word of mouth in the audience and the film will be looking to record a trend at the box office in India. There is an open window and no competition, which will lead to respectable numbers in the long run. The film has demonstrated fighting spirit and the target in the long run will be to surpass the collections of competition - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan!
