KGF – Chapter 2 Box Office: Yash starrer becomes the 4th film to enter the Rs. 1000 crore club
The Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 that hit screens a while back continues to dominate the box office. After opening on a thunderous note, the film, which was well received, by the audience and the critics alike has established new benchmark records. Now, despite new releases hitting screens KGF – Chapter 2 which still remains as the audiences’ first choice in theatres has managed to enter the Rs. 1000 cr. club.
Not surprisingly, KGF – Chapter 2 which has been seen an incredible trend in the mass dominated belt as well as the multiplex dominated sectors, has crossed the Rs. 1000 cr. mark at the global box office. With this, the film has now joined the likes of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, and the SS Rajamouli directorials Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion and RRR to become the fourth release ever to make it across the Rs. 1000 cr. mark. Besides this, achieving another first, KGF – Chapter 2 has now become the first Kannada origin film to achieve such immense success.
Interestingly, KGF 2 continues to run in theatres even with the two new releases Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 hitting screens. In fact, trade estimates predict that the Yash starrer will continue to dominate at the box office, overshadowing the new releases.
