Jugjugg Jeeyo Box Office: Film collects Rs. 4.82 cr on Day 4; ranks as seventh highest first Monday grosser of 2022

The Raj Mehta directorial Jugjugg Jeeyo was released last week on Friday. Starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor the film which was released across 3375+ screens in the domestic market opened on a good note. Following this the Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 venture saw further growth in business on its first Saturday and Sunday running, managing to rake in Rs. 36.93 cr on its opening weekend. Now on its first Monday running the business of the film has seen a massive drop in collections.

In this box office report, we look at the first Monday collections of Jugjugg Jeeyo while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 4.82 cr Jugjugg Jeeyo manages to surpass the collections of previous releases like Bachchhan Paandey which collected Rs. 3.37 cr, Runway 34 which collected Rs. 2.25 cr and Badhaai Do which collected Rs. 1.85 cr. With this, the film now ranks as the seventh-highest first Monday grosser of 2022. In fact, despite the immense promotions, the strong word of mouth, and the wide release, the business of Jugjugg Jeeyo does not surpass certain other releases like KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 25.57 cr, RRR which collected Rs. 17 cr, The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 15.05 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which collected Rs. 10.75 cr, Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 8.19 cr and Samrat Prithviraj collected Rs. 5 cr.

 

Going forward, Jugjugg Jeeyo, which does not really face competition at the box office, is expected to see its business grow. However, trade predictions state that the increase in collections will not really be as expected earlier.
