Box Office: Simmba surpasses Krrish 3 & 3 Idiots; becomes 9th all-time highest second week grosser
The Rohit Shetty directed film Simmba starring Ranveer Singh released two weeks ago. After opening on a good note, the business of the film witnessed immense growth as the days progressed. In fact, Simmba has managed to become one of 2018’s biggest money spinners ending the year with a bang.
In this box office analysis, we take a look at the second week collections of Simmba while comparing the same to the previous releases. Collecting Rs. 61.62 cr over its second week in theatres, Simmba has managed to surpass the second week collections of Krrish 3 and 3 Idiots that had collected Rs. 59.48 cr and Rs. 55.79 cr respectively, to become the ninth all-time highest second week grosser.
However, despite the positive response and the wide release across 4020 screens, the business of Simmba does not manage to out beat the collections of other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 143.25 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 115.96 cr, PK that collected Rs. 95.78 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 92.85 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 87.63 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 85.51 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 69.50 cr, and Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 68.33 cr.
As of now, with Simmba still running all that remains to be seen is whether the film manages to become one of the top 10 all-time highest third weekend grosser.
