Box Office: Roy is the 2nd highest Opening Weekend grosser of 2015

 

The Jacqueline Fernandez, Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Roy that released on Friday opened with a bang. Becoming the highest opening day grosser of 2015, Roy surged ahead with good collections on Saturday as well.

In this box office report we take a look at the weekend collections of Roy as compared to previous big releases. However, despite posting high Opening Day figures, the weekend witnessed a stark drop in collections due to the much anticipated India- Pakistan World Cup match on Sunday. In fact Roy that collected just Rs. 7.12 crores on Sunday becomes the second highest Opening Weekend grosser of 2015 collecting Rs. 28.68 crores, losing the top slot to Baby that collected Rs. 36.07 crores.
